Sparrow Place is a faith-based nonprofit with the vision to convert or build a home in York County, PA, to offer female survivors of domestic sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation the TIME, tools, and resources they need to heal. We will offer safe housing, up to 2 years, with a comprehensive and integrated umbrella of wraparound services. Without this, we know survivors often find themselves back on the streets.
In addition, as we seek to find and open a home where SHE can feel safe, we are working hard to spread human trafficking awareness and prevention education throughout our communities.

Ending the Third Slavery
In 2016, Dr. Earl Lewis convened a meeting on slavery among 40 principle collaborators—scholars, organizations, and instiutions—at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Out of this meeting came the "Slavery and Its Aftermath" initiative at the Center for Social Solutions. This project aims to tackle America’s original sin—slavery.
